Launching this blog

Many of you have been encouraging me to tackle this blog thing with more gusto and with an opportunity for responses to my posts.  Here’s a crack at it.  I pray this will be an equipping encouraging emancipating embracing experience for all of us…

  1. Harvey! I really appreciate your comment. Thanks for checking out the blog when you’re able. I deeply value your reflections (I don’t know if you’re aware, but I have learned much from you!) and am honored that you take the opportunity to stay in touch. Thanks!

  2. Hey Ken, I have always enjoyed your blog postings…first on PYM and then here. Must confess I don’t read your blogs very often (seem to have a few other things happening in my life) but when I do I always receive a blessing and am led to think more deeply about what you are saying about God’s word. I’m sure you bless others too and convict and exhort as well. Yup…even me most times!!
    Take care.

  3. Ken, you have an amazing gift of writing and I really enjoy your blog. I check it about once or twice a week, and although I seldom comment, I always look forward to reading your commentaries. So, if you can, I would encourage you to keep it going.

  4. Tim, I am so thankful God connected us on the Island- and I have wished often I had taken more opportunity to hang out with you. Perhaps in Germany over coffee someday!?! I really appreciate your encouragement– and I enjoy your blog too… the only problem is that I can’t read it! Thanks so much, Tim!

  5. Everytime I read your blog it inspires me to follow Jesus in a new and unexpecting way. You reflect the world in a different way, with Jesus eyes, with his love. I really can learn from it, and it doesn’t matter how far it is between you and my home. Yes it is far, but through this blog, we live side by side…Thank you.
    – Tim

  6. Thanks Marj! I’m impressed that you posted a comment! Your words encourage me… and your thoughts sharpen me. I always look forward to our interaction! -ken

  7. Keep it going Ken — your writing sparks all kinds of dialogue. I’m with Paul. I appreciate the posts reflecting your dissertation and look forward to more of that this fall, but I equally value the posts that keep me connected to your family and your heart as you live authentically before us all. You’re a trailblazer, taking the first branches and making it easier and safer for the rest of us.

  8. Thanks so much James! It is truly my honor to have met you this summer. I look forward to staying in touch. ps. I was praying for you throughout the day yesterday! -ken

  9. Ken,
When I go back to Hali and get a computer, your blogs going homepage, so if you stop using it, my homepage would be useless!
I am just starting to get into your blogs and wanting to do my own. Keep it up, its great!!!
Jesus Bless you and your Fam!

  10. Ken your blog is one of the first things I read every morning. You should do a devotional book when time allows. I only wish I knew how to copy some of your articles into larger print. It is also a wonderful way to keep track of the family via your photos. Keep up the good work.
    Blessings Char

  11. Thanks so much Deanne! I really appreciate your comment! Even more, I appreciate your friendship! The Schulz’s are so important to the Castors! I’m glad this blog is inspirational for you. Again, thanks for your words! -ken

  12. Ken, It is definitely worth it. You challenge my thoughts on different topics and it helps me to define my thinking on stuff. Not only do I read your blog, I think on it, process it and then figure out my feelings and thoughts. I feel God uses this blog to call to attention thing we have missed in our lives. I thank God for the HEART he gave you after him and understanding his word! God has sure made you one amazing man!

  13. It’s been over 16 months now. Has it been worth it? Are you glad I’m keeping up with this blog thing? Do you have any suggestions on how I could improve?
