A Good Week

Img_0177 It’s been a while…  Forgive me, but I’ve been distracted this week.  Kathy and I travelled to the Yukon last weekend where I spoke at the Thanksgiving weekend camp for Whitehorse Baptist Church.  It was a great weekend spent at Marsh Lake Bible Camp… I was amazed to find a Starbucks there… which broke down every stereotype I had formed about the Great North country.  We arrived home Tuesday evening… on Wednesday early morning I took off with Marcus to Smithers, BC to catch some Steelhead.  The fishing was great… the catching not so great.  Anyways, I got back late Saturday… on Sunday we were all off to Port Alberni where I was preaching for the first time at Arrowsmith Baptist Church… we spent a great day with this great church family.  They voted this evening unanimously to accept me as their Interim Pastor (see Arrowsmith posting below).

So it has been a full week.  I should be back at the blogging full fledged now.  I’ll try to write more about these three great experiences this week… for now, here are some photos of Marsh Lake and of Marcus catchng one of his TWO steelhead (I got ZERO!):Img_0198_1 Imgp1222_2

  1. I thought of you often while in Smithers… We were on the rivers from 7am to after 8pm so I never got a chance to ring you up. Hope to connect with you one of the days…

  2. you were in the north of bc…i am in the north of bc…you and i were not in the same place at the same time in the north of bc…
but i’m glad your stereotypes of the north have been shattered by a random Starbucks shop…
