I express my gratitude to Gordan McDonald at the Out of Ur site and to James Lutz for offering the reflection I’ve been trying to pinpoint regarding the recent exploits of Ted Haggard. I am always caught up in a range of emotions when a "leading" pastor is exposed as a sinner. My reactions stem from "That idiot-jerk!" to "No duh, we’re all messed up." Somewhere in between those two, or actually, maybe in the paradox of those two, is the appropriate response. (Thanks Len for leading us to these articles.)
