SO he washed their feet

I’m in awe of our Savior this morning.  Check this out:

"Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power… so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.  After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him." (John 13:3-5)

So let me get this straight.  BECAUSE Jesus knew that he was the most powerful being in the universe, he washed their feet.  He had all the authority of heaven at his disposal, SO he got up and washed stinky, dirty, blistery, caloused feet.

Amazing.  We have an amazing God who humbles me.  Who am I that my God should serve me?!

  1. don’t risk your life, p. most of my photos come from google, i’m sad to say. i’m trying to link my posts now to the good artists- and to give them credit when i use their photo, even if its shared stuff.

  2. I’ve been attempting the Hasechysm (sp?) prayer recently: Lord Jesus, have mercy on me. apparently one is supposed to repeat this throughout the day…all day. it’s having an effect.
hey, kenner, where the hank do you get all your pics for your site from? i know it’s probably a secret, but i’m willing to risk my life for it. just curious.
