We’re starting the drive to Calgary today. We’re already exhausted… and missing some incredible friends who became like family to us. We will continue to be so very grateful for our time in Parksville. Glen and Deanne and da boys– you all have become etched into the Castor family tapestry forever… we will probably never find a backyard like that again. Rob and Sam and da girls– thank you for hanging with us through laughter and tears, in the transition and the in the transparent times! Chris, Sheena, George, Marj– what can I say about such friends… there are not enough of you on this earth and there never could be… Our family loves you! Marcus- catching no fish in the dark freezing cold will never be as fun with anyone else… thanks for the hours upon hours of your time. And PYM– an unbelievable group of youth, it was a privilege to pastor among you and I look forward to knowing what God will do in/through/with you. I certainly couldn’t mention all of those who have become so close and dear and valued to us. We could never in this lifetime repay what some of you have given to us. The love of Christ’s family is amazing. Friends, may you and may we continue to grow rooted deeper and deeper into the soil of Christ’s marvelous love.
As we drive onto the ferry for the last time today, we refuse to uproot. For our roots have dug down deep here into a holy soil with all of you. No matter where we go, we are webbed together in Christ’s love… It’s a networking that digs so much deeper than what the world can see above the surface. Followers of Jesus are fused and intertwined with one another because we are connected to the vine. So, feel free to leave an encouraging comment below!
May you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:18-19)
ps. I’m also experiencing joy because the colts kicked the snot out of the bears last night.
