bridge collapse

My reflections on following Jesus often become much more practical and pointed when tragedy occurs.  Today I’m distraught for the people of Minneapolis who are missing loved ones after the I-35 bridge collapse… and I’m hurting for those who have learned that their loved one has died.  My responsibility today is to pray for these people, for those who are hurt, and for the rescue effort taking place now.

My wife’s family lives in Minneapolis- some of them working downtown near the bridge.  I’m sure their hearts and thoughts and conversations are enveloped in this event today.  May God encourage them and give them discernment as to how they are to respond.
