Is this blog worth it?

It’s been over 16 months now. Has it been worth it?  Are you glad I’m keeping up with this blog thing? Do you have any suggestions on how I could improve?

Please follow this link and post any comments there!  The link is to the first post I made on this JesusFollower site.  Thanks for reading and interacting!

  1. Dan, you are an encouraging guy. And I think you’re a smart guy too. But that’s just what I think. Hey, I’m looking forward to you stretching me in the years to come!

  2. Ken, you’re a smart guy. I enjoy reading what you have to say, even though I don’t understand it all. I’m glad there are smart guys like you out there studying and thinknig and writing for the rest of us 🙂

  3. Thanks Andrew! I always appreciate your comments. In fact, I think you’ve got the most comments on the blog next to Paul… I’ll have to check on that! Keep up the dialogue- it encourages me to keep at this exercise. I’m trying to work myself up into a really solid effort at blogging this next year- that’s why I posted this question. I’m anticipating a huge year of breakthrough reflections as I dive into Scripture and ministry. Looking forward to our partnership together in this! Thanks for the comment, Andrew!

  4. I have loved your blog since I first discovered it my friend. Everyday I look forward to some type of thought provoking message or detail about life and the chance to encounter God in the intellectual manner I tend to. Thanks for the bllod sweat and joy this blog has been. keep it up.

  5. Thanks so much Paul. I’ve really appreciated your comments (I think you are the comment winner!)- as they’ve often encouraged me to keep at it. In fact, I’d be encouraged greatly if more of the readers of this blog would comment. I love the interaction and am refined by many of them. So thanks, Paul!
Regarding dissertation: When I really get rolling on this I’m sure it’ll be reflected constantly on this site. Hopefully this fall we’ll start to see some fruit there! Thanks!

  6. Beyond an exercise in the intellect, your meditations and meanderings of what is at the heart of this life show not only the inconsistencies of reality, but how as Christians we can find, lean, struggle, question, trust and love the God who is with us through every detail we encounter.
I too look forward daily to what you have to share ken. perhaps what i appreciate so much is the pattern similar to a lament in that you acknowledge reality and yet always remember and praise God for who He is and what He’s doing/done.
Personally, I’d like to read more specific questions pertaining to your dissertation…but not sure if this is the place to do that (although some posts may have been implicitly connected).
    Keep it up buddy!
