Imagine this interview. A reporter sits down across from Jesus and starts asking him questions about his childhood, the reported miracles, his political intentions, the rumors about his wild parties… and the reporter asks:
“Jesus, so our listeners can hear from your own lips, please, in just a few words, describe yourself.
Actually, we do have a record of that “interview”. In a few short comments, in the book of John, Jesus told the world who he is. And to me, it seems pretty dumb that we would all form opinions about him without really checking out what he said about himself. So for the next several weeks at the hub, we’re going to dig deep into the “I AM” statements of Jesus.
