presence of God

"Perhaps you think that I am more present to you than God.  Not so!  He is much closer to you, for I appear to your eyes, but he presides over your consciences.  To me your ears, to him your heart, so that each one will be filled… But as for your heart, toward the Lord raise it so that he will fill it.  Let each one raise his heart, considering well what he is raising and toward whom he raises it."
– Augustine, Homilies on the Gospel of St. John.

  1. My name is Jaime and I am an intern at Teen Mania’s Honor Academy. I came across your blog and by the way this is such a good quote thank you so much for putting this up. I just want to take a moment to encourage you and thank you for the work that you do with young people. Remember—you plant the seeds, but God can turn those seeds into forests. You may never know the impact of what you are doing, but know that it is well worth it! I would love to pray for you….let me know if you have any specific requests…
