social justice & jesus


Had a great time with my Social Justice students at Crown College this morning.  We're just starting a section of the course focusing on what the Bible has to say about issues of injustice in our world.  Matthew 25:31+ was the subject of our first investigation… a convicting passage… a humiliating passage for a self-secure religious person who doesn't do much about their faith… and a humbling passage for everyone.  Jesus is judge.  Jesus will judge.  And his judgment will be based on whether we loved God and whether we loved others.  Important discussion.
