Study Guide – Psalm 86:11

11 Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. NLT

Stop everything in your mind and heart for a moment, except for the study of verse 11 of Psalm 86. Take a moment to read this verse again and again, focusing on each word, phrase, and idea.

What two things does David, the writer of this verse, request from the Lord? Why would someone ever want to ask this of God?

What are the “ways” of the Lord?

How does a pure heart bring honor to the Lord? What is the opposite of this?

Memorize this verse. Repeat it again and again throughout the next 24 hours in order to make it the deeply held prayer of your heart.
