BECAUSE PEOPLE FEEL TRAPPED – OUR WORLD NEEDS JESUS EVERYDAY because people feel trapped. Sometimes people may succeed in constructing moments in which they feel, if even for merely a breath, unrestricted. But these moments are fleeting… for the entrapments of consequences, injustice, oppression, illness, circumstances, ceilings, frustrations and rules eventually close in life’s walls like a trash compactor on the Death Star. No matter what creative options people devise to wrangle free from their entrapments, no amount of personal effort could ever secure perpetual and protected liberty. Human attempts to seize life-lasting freedom are ultimately proven futile.

But Jesus is Freedom. In him is life. Abundant life. Even in overwhelming circumstances, Jesus enables people to swell with the strength of freedom. This is why Paul could say to the Corinthians, “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed” (1 Corinthians 4:8). So stand confidently today by finding freedom in Jesus’ everlasting reservoir of life.

“Christ has really set us free.” – Galatians 5:1 NLT
