Since this is a prayer of Jesus, perhaps it is important:

“O Father, thank you for hiding these truths from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Father, it pleased you to do it this way.” LK 10:21 

AW Tozer said it this way:

“Now as always God discovers Himself to ‘babes’ and hides Himself in thick darkness from the wise and the prudent. We must simplify our approach to Him. We must strip down to the essentials (and they will be found to be blessedly few). We must put away all effort to impress, and come with the guileless candor of a childhood.”

I’ve written many times on both of these statements– on this blog and in a book. This morning, in the complications and temptations to busy myself, I just needed a reminder of the refreshing simplicity of seeking after God.
